I'm a 36-year-old husband and father of two. I swam competitively in high school and then through all four years of college before taking what would prove to be a fifteen year hiatus from competition.
I got into triathlon because I discovered that I really liked biking and already had the handy swimming background. However, despite spending more than a few years in the Army, I'm not a great runner.
I like competing again because I like having a something to train for. But for me, triathlon is really more about the journey than the destination.
