Trifuel now offers free online training logs for all our members. The log was donated to our site by one of our passionate members (rcortesi). We've made some announcements in the forums recently and Roger's made many feature enhancements based on comments and requests from other Trifuelers. Now it's time to release a more official announcement and detail some of the features as well as a quick walk through on setting up an account.
100% Free
The log is totally free. You just need to be a registered member of Trifuel to create an account and start tracking your workouts. There are no tiered levels of service, you get access to all the features.
Features
The log is very simple to use. Just add your sports, edit your profile, and you're off! While simple, it also has a robust set of features:
- Web Interface: Access your log from any computer, anywhere.
- Custom Sport Creation: While many logs come with a default set of activities or sports, this log gives you the power to create your own. So, you start with a blank sheet and set up only those sports you wish to track. Obviously, as a triathlete you'll want to create sport entries for swim, bike, and run. But you can also add activities such as Yoga, Strength, Mtb Biking, Cross Country Skiing, basically anything you like.
- Private or Public: The logs are defaulted as Private. Only viewable by you. However, Roger has recently added functionality that allows several sharing settings for your log. You can keep it private, share with everyone, share with all Trifuelers, or share with your customized list of friends. View some of the shared logs.
- Track Routes: A very handy tool that streamlines the process of adding the day's workout/entry. You can create a custom route with a definition, mileage, elevation, etc. Then just check that route when logging your entry for the day. It will automatically apply the details of the route to the entry and track average paces and record times for that route.
- Equipment Tracker: Fairly self explanatory, this feature will allow you to track mileage on shoes, wheels, etc.
- Advanced Graphing and Analysis: View your entries via several graphing options, whether bar graphs with weekly volumes by sport, pie charts, pace averages, etc. You can plot pretty much any of the data collected into easy to follow graphs. See the snapshot at the bottom of this page for examples.
- Set Training Zones: Set your training zones and track max and average heart rate for each workout.
- Goal Tracking: Create goals and track your progress through the log. As an example, you may want to ride 2,000 miles by end of summer. Simply create a "Bike" goal and each time you ride it'll update your goal and let you know how far you've gone, and how many days and mileage are left.
- Current Weather Forecast: Update your log profile with your zip code and city and the log will display today's weather on your default log page.
- And more... There are many other features and ways to utilize this logging system. Over the coming weeks and months, we'll continually add tutorials and real user experiences to help you unleash the power of the logs to better track your progress and help you improve your performance.

Very cool, I find myself addicted to the logs. I've been a pro triathlete for several years and never kept a log, this has made it very easy. I'll be sharing it remotely with my coach. - Matt, Professional Triathlete from Bend, OR
I think the logs are really awesome. They're a big motivation for me to do my workouts so I can put them in the computer. - Chris, Age Grouper from Charlotte, NC
