Online, interactive triathlon trainer service - TriCoreTraining.com

Hi to you all sporty people,

we began 1.5 years ago in our Triathlon association TriCoreTraining.com creating a online-triathlon-trainer for triathlon plans and after a lot (really a lot ;) of work we finished it. To not only enable our members to use it, we decided to open is for all triathlon-athletes.

ironman training plans

I am looking for a reasonable priced Ironman training plan. I have a ironman race (my first one) in 22 weeks. i want to compete in the race, not just complete it.

What ideas can you guys share with me?

Thanks in advance

Picking an IM Training Plan

Seems like most people are using the 36 week plan from Trifuel. Anybody use something different? Anybody buy a detailed training plan online? Or a training plan book? Can anyone compare plans for me?

Beginner Olympic Triathlon Training Program

This plan is for the beginner multisport athlete who is in good health and can handle a beginning volume of 4:00 per week.

Keep all workouts easy, conversation pace, as this is a beginner plan. When running hills, be light on your feet. Rolling hill courses are terrific for both the bike and the run.

Scared to Restart

On the first weekend of this past semester, (September) I completed my first HIM. It was great, and I had a great time, but I hurt my back which killed my off-season training. I slept on the ground, took lots of pain killers, saw a therapist, did lots of stretching and had a miserable first half of an off-season. It got so bad, I quit reading posts on this forum. I almost thought about quitting because of all the pain that I had to deal with. It was really depressing to not be able to simply

Training for Ironman, by doing a marathon?

I am planning my next season, ending with my first Ironman Cozumel in November. Since running is my weak spot, I was wondering if I should plan a late spring marathon (San Diego).

I have read so many different opinions on the subject, that I do not know if it is a good idea. What would you suggest?

Off season training

this is my first year training for a triathlon (I started in april). I have completed two triathlons this year and want to go into off season training.

How should I approach off season?
Anyone know of a free plan?
Should I still train every day and train bike 3 times, run 3 times and swim 3 times a week?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Its 8pm, do you know where your calories are at?

At 5 am I was up today to drive an hour for what I thought was a 25 mile bike ride. I was feeling good, and that soon became a 40 mile ride. After, I checked my HRM and I had burned about 2000 calories. It got me thinking about the lack of or overuse of calories in peoples diets who are in training. I have a great formula that will hopefully shed some light on the subject.
