TheCycleStudio Now Open in Chicago

by TheCycleStudio on August 4th, 2008
Hey everyone, I just wanted to stop by to let all the Chicago, IL folks know about the new studio I have just opened! TheCycleStudio is Chicago's Premier Indoor Cycling Center. The studio is stocked with CycleOps 300PT bikes which can measure WATTS, HR, and more! They are great for the seasoned athletes or first time riders in training.

Newbie in need of some serious advice/assistance/suggestions/etc!!

by CMahlmann1983 on July 21st, 2008
I am a 24 year old guy named Chris. I used to be very athletic. I played soccer and I was on swim team from age 4 to 18. I also played basketball, and I've always been a skiier, a wakeboarder, so I'd always had a number of things going to keep me in shape. I've never been the type to go workout, but nevertheless, always remained active.

Biking

by pwnednewbsdaily on April 20th, 2008
I'm pretty new to triathlons; only done two. This summer, however, I'm looking to change that. I'll probably be doing sprint triathlons. I run cross country and track and consider myself pretty decent (currently run 5:10 for the mile, 11:09 for the two mile). I was thinking of adding some biking and swimming on top of running 50-60 mpw.

Breakthrough workouts

by Sully800 on February 12th, 2008
As winter begins to ebb, people should be getting into the heart of their tri training. That of course means some needed rest weeks and the accompanying breakthrough/test workouts to track fitness progress. Use this thread to report on any test workouts you would like to share (not an every day "what was your workout" post, just the key performances.

Non-machine Core and Abs

by krazyfranco on February 6th, 2008
Hey all- I just searched the archives for some core workout suggestions, but didn't find many that didn't involve equipment that I don't have and don't want to buy. Any ideas for good non-equipment core workouts? I did see Kona_expat's Dirty 30's (I'd have to read it again though... movements 2 and 3 seem confusing). Any suggestions are welcome- Thanks Greg Hard days hard, easy days easy.
