Bad luck or not?
by craig0812 on August 17th, 2009
The other morning I was running at 5:30 in the pitch black and a black cat came out of nowhere and started running along side me then started to try and attack my leg. It scared the crap out of me at first but then it was just annoying. I may or may not have kicked it, on accident of course (please note the sarcasm in my tone). I had to speed up the pace so it wouldn't cross in front of me.
I am training for my first half ironman Florida 70.3 in May 2010.

Here it is....make your own mayo, flavored, or dressings
by chefsmith on June 19th, 2008
So a lot of people are asking me about how to make your own mayonnaise...tastier and healthier. Thanks Tikal: The trick to making your own "healthier" mayo is using pasteurized eggs( to prevent food borne illness) and using oils low in saturated fats such as vegetable oils, safflower, sunflower,...there are a few.

Training in the Elements?
by defro781 on June 2nd, 2008
I used to train on every set training day - rain, wind, snow, or sun. Now I find myself either skipping training on a bad weather day or going to the gym instead.
Then on race day, if it's raining and 40 it sucks for me, but on the other hand I don't train as hard and don't want to get sick training outside in the rain and snow.

Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon 1st Timer Blog

When I first heard about this race, I thought the swim portion was absolutely insane and anyone who swam it was nuts. Well…..this year I entered the lottery (thinking I certainly wouldn’t get selected), got selected and will be doing this crazy race and conquering one of my biggest fears and physical challenges with the swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
