I just got back from a 10k run out to the lake & back. I stopped for a moment to enjoy the sun sparkling on the water and was tempted to jump in, but the temp is just too chilly after 3 days of rain. I was wearing my Trifuel hat too. so wtfdydt? PoC ""Your ass looks fantastic. Are the kids in bed yet???" - TonisTri. 10/2009

Iphone tri application question

by driggins on June 25th, 2009
Folks - I'm considering building an Iphone application for triathletes (myself included) but wanted to do a pulse check with you all to see if you think there is a need. So a few questions, please: 1) do you see a need, if so, what would you like the app to do? i have a problem with recording my workouts and tracking my progress. perhaps an app for this?

Training whilst travelling

by chavi on June 13th, 2009
Hi Trifuelers, I am on holidays travelling the states and am visiting New York city very shortly. So far, the pools I have been to are 25m pools if I am lucky. Coming from Australia, we generally swim in 50m pools and I am really wanting to find one in the city. "Commitment means struggle, it means effort and always sacrifice".

Lackluster training

by jknoll on June 1st, 2009
This is now my third season of competing in sprint-distance tris with a couple of olympic distance efforts thrown in. When I came to the sport, I could not swim a lap, my bike legs averaged in the 18s, and my 5k time (not part of a tri) was just under 20 minutes. Now a 400 meter swim is around 7:20, bike is between 20-22 mph, and run usually averages around 6:30-6:45. J

I recently purchased a power meter and was curious to know where some of you more experienced triathletes sit in terms of sustained power output on the bike. So, lets have it!
