Tire Question

Ok this might be a dumb question, but I am looking to buy new tires for my bike and I am a little confused. What is the difference between wire bead and folding?

Thanks in advance

Dumb trainer / tires question

So trainers eat tires. How do you manage this logistically? Do you have a spare wheel with a sturdy tire? Just accept a certain level of tire damage and rotate out frequently?

Surely you guys aren't swapping out tires before each trainer ride?

This is all pretty new to me, so thanks.

Tire question

This has me confused to no end, and I'm wondering if I just have some malformed freak of a set of tires:

Need smaller tires for a mountain bike

I'm training for my first sprint tri...on a mountain bike! I've been told several times how lame this is but it's all I got right now so I'm just going to go for it! I've decided at least I can change out the tires to something a bit smaller and with less tread. I'm heading off to the bike shop soon and want to be able to tell them exactly what I need.

Best tubular tires for race day???

I am doing an Ironman in August - I did a half in 2004 and used Zipp 404's with Tufo Tubulars and got a flat (had a spare, but it cost me about 4 minutes). Anyone have any suggestions as to the most puncture resistant tubulars on the market?

Tire/Wheel Question

Possibly a dumb question, but the recent tire threads had me thinking: what the heck kind of tires do I have on my bike and what if I want a different kind? Do I need a clincher rim to run clinchers and similarly with tubulars? I never see wheels for sale with a tubular vs clincher description, but is there a difference?
