Who's going to be at the Kansas 70.3 in Lawrence on Sunday? I won't be racing (I'm doing Tinman the day before), but I would be happy to cheer you on if I know your name and number!

I just picked up my race packet for my first race of the season on Sunday (second race overall). There are no instructions in the packet, just my swimcap, my regular running race number, and then an 6x11.5 or so sticker with my race number at each end. What's that sticker for? It looks like its intended to be folded over and stuck to my top tube on my bike. Is that possible?

This was a race weekend, with a half on Saturday (see kkocan's report) and a sprint on Sunday. Saturday was sunny and hot, Sunday was not hot and very wet; it’s hard to believe how drastically the conditions changed from one day to the next. Apparently a number of people really suffered in the heat on Saturday.

I have the most rotten luck out of anyone. I never win drawings or prizes. Ever. Except once, when I was not at work the day the announced I won tickets to the Pepsi 400 (with pit passes and the whole works.) And no one called me. So I missed the race. Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
