Favorite Recipes

by tingland on August 5th, 2008
I am trying to motivate myself to change my eating habits so I figured I would just make a post asking everyone for some of their favorite recipes. They can be simple or extravagant - cheap to expensive. I would like to see what kind of different results I can get on here to help give me different meal choices.

Recover Drinks?

by hateloveschool on July 19th, 2008
Lately I've been trying to find the Powerbar Recovery drinks and I've been to a couple stores and none of them are being sold, at least that I can find... (Indianapolis) So I unless someone from Indy knows of a place that still sells it, I think I'm in the market for a new recovery drink. I've heard of Acclerade and Endurax.

Tri Training on a Vegetarian Diet

by J.Michael on June 24th, 2008
Anyone do this? I mean any Ironmen champs or seasoned professionals? I'm sure I can't be the only person in the world training to get to an Ironman by veggie power. Am I? I eat a varied diet of carbs, protein, and fiber. I take a good multivitamin, (only pill I take, and I hate the fact it's a pill)

So a lot of people are asking me about how to make your own mayonnaise...tastier and healthier. Its 8pm, do you know where your calories are at?

by chefsmith on June 16th, 2008
At 5 am I was up today to drive an hour for what I thought was a 25 mile bike ride. I was feeling good, and that soon became a 40 mile ride. After, I checked my HRM and I had burned about 2000 calories. It got me thinking about the lack of or overuse of calories in peoples diets who are in training. I have a great formula that will hopefully shed some light on the subject. "Training is tough, nutrition shouldn't be" www.t2nutrition.com

by iamtb13 on April 22nd, 2008
Although I focus entirely on Sprint and Olympic distance races, I still haven't found the right "in race" hydration/nutrition. Granted these are short races so I don't have a huge calorie need but I tend to have a sensitive stomach during races since I am usually just shy of the point of over exertion. Recently I have been sticking with just water which seems ok.

by blobin on February 19th, 2008
Second year of triathlons, I am about to sign up for my first half. The race description talks about a "bottle drop"- since everyone has always been very supportive of newbie questions on this site- what happens at a bottle drop?
