I have recently arrived in Pittsburgh from the land of the flat and they have more hills here than SF (check out the RR on the "Dirty Dozen" http://tinyurl.com/7mwct4k).

I Dare You... To Have Your Best Season

Picture this...

What keeps you Motivated??*

Hi All!

It's the off-season now and the days are getting shorter for us here in Ireland and I was just wondering what keeps other people motivated when they've just finished a long season?

I know I'll get out for a run today, but the question is whether it'll be 5Km or 15Km!!:0)

Band of Athletes

Together we shed blood, shared tears and drowned in our sweat. One look at each other is enough. We know what we sacrificed and the sacrifices we asked from our loved ones.

An Incredibly Easy Three-Step Method To Staying Lean, Fit & Motivated During the Holidays

Are you ready for a proven method to keep you sane in your fat loss efforts through the holidays? This easy, proven three-step process will allow you to stay motivated, stay lean, and stay fit while faced with the daunting challenges and temptations of holiday parties, alcohol, cake, cookies, feasts and lots of social pressure to just “wait until January 1st”.

Motivational Quotes

My wife and I decided to turn our guest bedroom into a workout room. It's looking really nice with a trainer, Bowflex, a big high speed fan on the all, LCD TV/Monitor, and soft mats on the floor. I thought about decorating it with inspirational posters, but then I had the idea to write quotes on the walls. I remember reading this thread a while back with some good quotes in it. Let me know what good ones I'm missing.

Words

Actually what I want to know is:

If there are terms of motivation, technical terms, words that are fit to Triathlon.

It may even be in English.

The idea is to motivate the practice of shirts Triathlon.

Sorry for my english, i'm from Florianópolis Brazil

Your sound bite please, Why are you here?

So I have been asked to talk to a group of inmates at a youth correctional facility in the town that I grew up in. I am coming in as part of the outreach program, a counseling sort of thing I suppose. They asked me to talk about the races that I’ve done, why I do strange things like triathlons etc and I reluctantly said yes. I’m not sure how to explain this thing to a group of people who may not find this as exciting as I do. I know why I’m here, I find so much meaning in racing and training for bigger races, or faster races.

Feeling burnt out at end of season, but still have one race left

I've competed in 7 triathlons over the course of the summer and am feeling totally burnt out. I still have one left on Sept. 6. My muscles feel fatigued and I'm struggling to find the motivation to keep training for the next week. Anyone have any great stuggestions to keep in it for the last couple weeks? I'm debating whether to do it or not at this point....
