As many of you know, a 27-year-old marathoner and Madison, WI native, passed away upon completion of the Little Rock Marathon. Nickel, 27, who was running his sixth marathon, finished 18th in a field of 1,600. He was pronounced dead 21 minutes after crossing the finish line. There was no warning and no known pre-existing medical condition that led to his death.
