Tension on Kinetic Trainer

by cjhoffmn on January 8th, 2008
Have now about 8 rides in on my Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Really enjoying having it in the house etc, love the pain, you know the drill. Question is: How much tension do I ideally want on the back tire? Seems to me you want basically enough tension so the wheel doesn't slip when you pedal, but more is probably just deforming your tire. To tri or not to tri - that's not a question at all!

Kurt Kinetic Vibrations

by Autarkis on January 7th, 2008
I recently bought a Kurt Kinetic Pro trainer. I found that at higher speeds I can feel vibrations. Upon closer inspection, I found that the 6.25 lbs fly wheel wobbles since it isn't completely straight. This is my first trainer so I'm wondering if this vibration is to be expected? Any feed back would be apreciated. Thank you.
