Finally, a truly waterproof GPS watch?

Don't why it's taken soooooo long. I'm sure some of you may have seen this, but finally someone has come out with a true multisport gps watch/ hrm. It's not available yet, except pre-order. Which I will be doing. It's about time we can open water swim and record our distance and times.

Another HRM Question

I've seen some threads recently on HRMs and whatnot, but wanted to check with the knowledge-base on this forum before picking up a new one.

My wife's HRM was destroyed - neither of my dogs have fessed up but one of them did it. So, I'm looking to get her a new one for her birthday.

Need new Heartrate monitor

I have a simple A5 Polar HRM that is out of warranty. the screen is missing part of the LED so although the unit works I can't read the heartrate. I have an SRM on my bike, so can get heartrate when I bike but not now while I am running. I want to get a HRM with GPS that gives distance +/- pace that I can use while running and that my husband can also use on his bike for speed, distance, mapping and altitude change. Is there anything out there that an be used for running and biking? Can you use a Forerunner 305 on the bike?

Garmin Forerunner 305

Hi everyone! I've been using the Suunto T3 for the last couple years and I think it's finally starting to crap out. I've been looking at the Garmin Forerunner 305. Most of the reviews I've read have been pretty positive with exception to it's water-proofness. My question is, when not in training, are you able to use it as a normal watch? Also, does anyone know what the battery life is on the lithium battery?

Heartrate While Swimming

I've noticed that my heart rate tends to be much higher when swimming (for a similar level of effort) than cycling and running.

Perhaps it's an anxiety thing, since I've never developed a good level of comfort in the water.

The problem is that I think it handicaps me for the bike and run, as my heart rate doesn't come back down that much.

Your thoughts and experiences?
