5k in SF tomorrow morning!

by amityy on August 29th, 2009
I've got a 5k run in SF tomorrow, mostly flat, mostly asphalt, total of probably about 200 competitors. I'm on my school's cross country team, and my coach expects a time around 20 minutes or a bit faster. I ran 5 miles early this morning, not too hard, and I usually run 7-8 every day throughout the week.

Oh Noes! My Front Gear Shifter Fell Off....

by ThunderBear on November 22nd, 2008
Hi, I have biked for 4 years now, and I have never heard of this problem before, and I really need some help. Right above the Crank of my bike there is an empty space my front changer used to fill. As you guys probably know, the front changer is pretty important, so I'd really like to get it back on my bike.

wetsuit removal

by rolwitz on August 16th, 2008
Are there any things that help remove a wetsuit faster and easier. I have my first tri in 2 years tomorrow. Does Body Glide or something else help and if so do you put it over your whole body or just a few important places.

Exceeding Expectations needs your help (theft)!

by kylie on July 23rd, 2008
Exceeding Expectations is a wonderful program for at-risk kids in San Bernardino, California. Through the program the kids get to race tris and be a part of something strong, with great mentors. The goal is not to build elite athletes (although some of those kids are *fast*) but to build great people. Miles of Life --- Powered by MarkyV

Newbie in need of some serious advice/assistance/suggestions/etc!!

by CMahlmann1983 on July 21st, 2008
I am a 24 year old guy named Chris. I used to be very athletic. I played soccer and I was on swim team from age 4 to 18. I also played basketball, and I've always been a skiier, a wakeboarder, so I'd always had a number of things going to keep me in shape. I've never been the type to go workout, but nevertheless, always remained active.

Swim Coach in Philly

by PhillytriXxICExX on July 7th, 2008
Well I am a newbie to Triathlons having not done one yet, I have a few scheduled for next Summer and 2 months ago started training for them so I'm very excited. However I have noticed a ton of people in my area that are not comfortable with the swim leg of the race. I on the other hand need work on the run haha.

Marathon to tri: if I don't drown this will be fun

by justjames on June 24th, 2008
Hey guys. I've been a runner for quite awhile and have run a couple marathons as well as a bunch of other shorter distances. My main question is, what is a good training plan to start with? I'm a good runner, decent cyclist, and slow swimmer. I am comfortable in the water, just slow.

by scottbland247 on January 5th, 2008
I'm looking for some confirmation/correction on my training schedule for a sprint triathon in mid-march. (400m/12miles/2.7miles) after about 7 years of doing nothing and gaining weight It is better to hurt from doing something than from doing nothing... First Triathlon (400m/20k/2.75mile) 1:39.15 including 33 minutes in the water

Budget advice for first tri ever

by scottbland247 on December 28th, 2007
I'm scheduled to do a sprint tri in orlando,fl in march and currently have no equipment (at all) with the exception of some good running shoes. I've got a real tight budget and have maybe $300 to spend on equipment before the first race. What do you recommend I spend it on. It is better to hurt from doing something than from doing nothing...
