Garmin Forerunner 310xt, how accurate in the swim?
by vistring on August 19th, 2009
Hello Everybody,
I finally got to do the test on 310xt accuracy when swimming. In order to maintain a steady gps signal the watch was placed in the swim cap, instead of on the wrist. The test was performed in a matching orange speedo and cap to go with the trim on the watch. No making fun of my splits, I did it at the end of a 2 mile swim, and wasn't trying to go fast at all.
Swimming GPS watch?????
by sullid on June 17th, 2009
Can anyone please help me find a watch I can use in the water. I want to buy a watch that I can use while I'm training for my ironman - just the swimming portion. i am looking for one that has gps so I know how far I'm swimming and how fast. I have a Garmin 305 and I dont want to chance ruining it. Do they sell a GPS swimming watch? Or do they sell waterproof cases for the garmin?

Does anyone know if you need to drain the Forerunner 405 battery after the first charge, like some electronic devices, in order ot maximize the battery life over time?

Tri Software for PDA/ Pocket PC?
by J.Michael on December 27th, 2008
Does anyone know of any tri specific PDA software for logging workouts, splits, nutrition, and gps coordinates for windows mobile?
I've been looking for a few weeks now, and have seen some sports training software but nothing that makes me want to plunk down some cash.

Phone and GPS
by trigirltina2 on November 13th, 2008
I am looking for the thread (sorry) that talked about the GPS for phone that would log miles on the run verses the Garmin. I've been out of the loop about a week and cannot remember at the moment.
It also talked about the phone services that were compatible.
Thanks in advance if someone can remember.

Suunto GPS Pod
by Workerant47 on August 12th, 2008
Does anyone have any experience with th Suunto T series GPS pod? I have the T4 watch and am debating on whether or not to purchase it. I'm a little reluctant because I can't find any info, positive or negative, about it. I'm concerned that it will drop in and out on either a ride or a run and that I might just be better off buying the bike pod instead.
Need new Heartrate monitor
by runmargierun on June 19th, 2008
I have a simple A5 Polar HRM that is out of warranty. the screen is missing part of the LED so although the unit works I can't read the heartrate. I have an SRM on my bike, so can get heartrate when I bike but not now while I am running.
