Eating right on the "run"
by TriAu on September 28th, 2009
I am sure I am not the only person out there trying to train around a combination of school, work families, and anything else in your life. Im just curious how everyone goes about eating right even if they don't have a lot of time. I've noticed I am eating out 3 times a day everyday of the week.

how to carry solid food on IM
by zchrist on April 26th, 2009
Training to race my first Ironman this fall and I'm trying to figure out how to carry food for the bike without having to load a bento box or stuff a jersey in transition. anybody have some good recommendations for carrying food other than these two?
Is FitDay wrong, or am I not eating enough???
by Ironmom on January 28th, 2009
I just started tracking activities and keeping a food diary on Fitday.com. Pretty consistently, I'm coming up about 500 calories short each day of what they say I'm burning. I don't feel like I'm undereating, I'm not hungry all day or anything. If I get hungry, I get a snack like yogurt with berries or something, I try to eat good whole foods, lots of fruits and veggies, protein, etc..

I have been competing in triathlons for two years now -- mostly sprint distance events, and a few olympic. My typical training week consists of 1-3 miles of swimming, 30-70 miles on the bike, and 10-15 running. This combined with the other facets of my life, not the least of which is my two-year-old son, have me now feeling pretty worn out.

Post Workout Nutrition

After my workouts, I've been pretty religious about eating the post workout snack including proteins and some carbs. On some occasions though, I've had days where I had eaten too much during the day - Say for example, I ate at around 6:30pm about 900 calories or so and exceeded my targeted calories (BMR + Expected burn) or so by a few hundred.
