FS: 2008 Specialized Transition E5 Comp 61cm
by beniger on July 24th, 2008
I BOUGHT THIS TRIATHLON BIKE TO TRAIN FOR AN IRONMAN NEXT YEAR. I'M GIVING UP BECAUSE AFTER SEVERAL SWIM LESSONS I STILL CAN'T SEEM TO SWIM MORE THAN 1 LAP. THIS BIKE HAS ABOUT 600 MILES ON IT AND I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. I'LL INCLUDE MY FIZIK TRI SADDLE WITH IT. NO PEDALS OR EXTRAS. IT'S A 61CM, I'M 6'4" AND IT FITS ME GREAT, I THINK WOULD FIT SOMEONE 6'1" TO 6"6" PROBABLY.

Fear of descending while cornering
by KitKat on June 24th, 2008
I had a VERY bad experience back in April that almost ended my triathlon/cycling world. I'm too tired to repeat it all so here is a link to the incident.

Best tubular tires for race day???
by mountainpics on May 31st, 2008
I am doing an Ironman in August - I did a half in 2004 and used Zipp 404's with Tufo Tubulars and got a flat (had a spare, but it cost me about 4 minutes). Anyone have any suggestions as to the most puncture resistant tubulars on the market?
Sports hernia
by IronAdge on May 13th, 2008
I found a hernia (bulge) right below my hip flexor above my groin. I was lucky to come across it as I have no pain, even on examination. I asked a PT and she said to refrain from activity for awhile and to ice. I will also be contacting a doctor.

My first two bike races
by krazyfranco on March 9th, 2008
Hey all-
I did my first two cycling races this weekend, collegiate races. The reports can be found on my blog, here:

Any of you just do bike races? How would you describe them, compared to tri's and running road races?

Computrainer vs TACX vs SRM
by tri@thlete on February 26th, 2008
Hi All -
Currently, I have Computrainer, but am thinking about selling it to get a "discounted" SRM and perhaps a TACX for indoor training. This way I can get power readings indoors and out. Anyone have experience w/ the TACX trainers (like the Flow)? What's your opinion on SRM and other power measurement devices?
gear ratio's, and crank arm lengths ???
by scottbland247 on February 12th, 2008
someone posted a great link the other day (sheldonbrown.com/gear) i think
anyway.....it had a table where you could put in your cadence and gear ratios, wheel size, crank arm length etc.....and it would tell you your speed
I'm riding a 170mm crank arm with 18-28-38 front gears and a cassettes that ranges from 13 to 25........that shows me only reaching 22.5 at 100rpms

by big 3 on January 25th, 2008
I need to learn how to train with my power meter.
I would love to hear reviews & suggestions on which to buy and which to avoid.
Thanks in advance!
Kurt Kinetic Vibrations
by Autarkis on January 7th, 2008
I recently bought a Kurt Kinetic Pro trainer. I found that at higher speeds I can feel vibrations. Upon closer inspection, I found that the 6.25 lbs fly wheel wobbles since it isn't completely straight.
This is my first trainer so I'm wondering if this vibration is to be expected? Any feed back would be apreciated. Thank you.
What sunglasses for cycling/running????
by transamman1999 on December 27th, 2007
so i'm trying to find some good sunglasses and not having much luck. in the past i've just trained w/ cheap-o Walmart or gas station sunglasses but i'm looking into getting a good pair, preferably polarized, that will be good for long rides as well as running.
i was looking at a few different brands:
