Racing to Push Limits?

by The X Runner on November 6th, 2009
Do you folks race to push your limits? Now, I can't imagine how many endurance triathlete's race for fitness (it's probably better to do shorter distances). But for all those who race to push their limits, ironman's seem great. But, AFTER AN IRONMAN, what next? Since we race to push our limits, it would seem logical to go onto harder challenges after the ironman.

Spinning vs Cycling

by Ben Greenfield on November 4th, 2009
As we progress into the off-season and colder months for many triathletes, indoor cycling workouts, or "spinning", becomes a primary mode of cross-training for the bike leg. This article will help you understand some of the differences between cycling outdoors (or indoors) on your bike, and cycling on a spin bike.

speaking of Halloween: skeletons - how symmetrical are you?

by snail_male on October 29th, 2009
I'm looking to get a professional bike fitting this off-season, and it coincides with a medical procedure being performed in our family that has caused me to pay extra attention to asymmetry. (My 14 yr. old son is being treated for a Leg Length Discrepancy that will entail his longer tibia being "arrested" for a spell by a transphyseal screw.) http://www.snail-male.blogspot.com/

by GGehrke on September 7th, 2009
So I've been gone for a while, but am trying to get back into the sport. I was pretty active last year while I was in graduate school in California, but I've since moved to Norfolk, VA for the Navy and have not been able to train in over a year. I work pretty much 5am to 6pm plus some weekends and simply don't have time.

He thought the idea was interesting but since he is a spin instructor and not a triathlete or cyclist he wasn't sure he knew what he would plan to do for that entire time.

Cav not the fastest sprinter in the world?? (spoiler)

by jro81 on July 16th, 2009
Alright, well I was watching stage 11 yesterday and kind of noticed a recurring pattern throughout the Tour. In the last 10k or so Columbia is up front pushing the pace for their guy, Mark Cavendish. In every stage he has won this year it seems he has the most dominant team who is creating the lead out.

What's Your Power?

by Workerant47 on May 29th, 2009
I recently purchased a power meter and was curious to know where some of you more experienced triathletes sit in terms of sustained power output on the bike. So, lets have it!
