More Than Sport Encourages Athletes and Supporters to Give Back to the Community

Kailua Kona, HI (September 27, 2012) – More Than Sport today announced a line-up of podium-topping professional triathletes that will partner with More Than Sport and will support its annual community service and giveback program that takes place in conjunction with the Ironman World Championship triathlon on Saturday, October 13, 2012.

10.03.2011 – ALAMO, CA - BASE Performance pledges 5% of October sales to More Than Sport, a non-profit organization started by professional Triathlete Chris Lieto. Chris and several other triathletes are racing the Ironman World Championships in Kona October 8th for more than their own personal gain. They are also racing for More Than Sport and raising money for several local organizations in Kona, Hawaii, the race host city.

World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) announced today that Chris Lieto will join the professional start list at the 5150 New Orleans Triathlon, taking place on May 15, 2011. At the third event in the inaugural 5150 Triathlon Series, Lieto will join a star-studded field as he once again attempts to gain valuable points toward qualification for the Hy-Vee 5150 U.S. Championship.
