overpacking the bike for Ironman
by IthinkIcan on November 19th, 2009
So I just finished packing for IMAZ and my inventory looks scary. I think the biggest thing is that I'm trying to over prepare for the bike and have to accept that it's a gamble.

Workouts
by Amish on June 22nd, 2009
Question: has there ever been a thread where people just post workouts they do for the benefit of other people looking for suggestions on a workout?
I propose we use a thread to just write down suggestions or previous work outs with whatever information you want to provide!
Confusion on gears when biking
by prendergi on June 22nd, 2009
Biking is by far my weakest area. While I am trying to get more time in the saddle to improve I am totally confused on the gears.

anyone bike early morning or late evening?
by prendergi on April 21st, 2009
Due to our family schedule (my husband works in the evenings and I have 2 kids) the only time I am able to train is in the morning. Early morning, before the sun comes up. Now that winter is leaving I can jump on the bike in the morning however, I am nervous. The drivers around here are horrible and I can't image they are any better at 5:00 AM.

I fear that this is the wrong forum for this question, but it is the only one I am an active member of so thought I would ask.

Hip Flexor Soreness - Overtraining? Or Paying Dues?
by J.Michael on July 24th, 2008
For the past few weeks my right hip flexor has been, well irritated.
It's not always uncomfortable, or sore. It's not usually sore when I'm cycling or running. It's not always sore after running...... I don't get it.

Biking training rides
by cutiger95 on June 19th, 2008
Alright so I have biked for a long time, but never really trained to bike. What type of targets should I be setting for myself.
Currently I am hitting the following on my training rides:
Shorter than 10 miles: Average about 17.5 - 19.5 mph (Depends on if wifey is tagging along, 17.5 with and 19.5 without)
Rides 10 - 20 miles: Average of around 17 - 18
