Bike off of Ebay
by tallgaloot on February 16th, 2008
Hi. So, I'm brand new to this forum and new to triathlons. I have not yet raced in my first triathlon, though I have been in training for 4 months now and am planning on doing my first triathlon (sprint) in May. That being said, I was training on an older, cheaper bike. A Trek Navigator 100, which is a hybrid.
Stem Length and Handling
by theShiba on February 13th, 2008
Looking to dial in the fit a bit on my road bike... The bars are within my reach fine, I don't feel like I am out of control, but I feel like I would have even more control if my bars were a bit loser to me. Right now my arms are pretty stretched out but not "reaching". I know if I went with a really short stem my arms would be closer to a 90º angle when resting on top of the hoods.

Brand New to Tris...
by RGoolsby on February 6th, 2008
Let me start by saying I have been reading these forums for a few weeks now and it seems like a great place for information.
I have never ran a tri and I haven't even thought about it until about two weeks ago. I run 5ks and 10k races on a regular basis and I tried out a friends road bike one sunday afternoon and nearly fell in love. It was such an amazing feeling.

My new bike has arrived!
Ok so it's not really "tri gear" since it will be time I don't spend on the tri bike, but hey bike time still helps!

buying bikes on the internet???
by scottbland247 on December 31st, 2007
I went to my LBS and the selection they had didn't even stretch south of $600 and since my budget is lower he said I could go to some website and pick one out....then he would buy....then he would give me free labor on all installs for parts for the life of the bike (I guess he makes money by buying through some dealer discount?)
