Altitude difference between training & race
by jonovision_man on July 30th, 2008
Calgary is at 3500 feet above sea level, but Toronto (where I'll train) is only a few hundred feet above, a difference of about 3000 feet.
Is this at all significant? How do you deal with it?
When I visit, I definitely notice the lighter air... I'm not sure if it's due to altitude or the complete lack of humidity though. :)

FS: Altitude tent for sale
by atehundredrunner on March 12th, 2008
I'm trying to sell my CAT Atitude tent. It has just over 2500 hours on it. It will fit a queen size bed, with room for night stand and space to walk around or a King size with absolutly no room (trust me, I did it). It is a walk in style. I would love to keep it, but I've just run into some financial trouble and need the money more than I need the tent.
FS: Colorado Altitude Training Tent
by IronDad52 on February 1st, 2008
I am selling this king size Colorado Altitude Training tent (CAT-430 Walk-in Tent System). Its in excellent condition, no defects or flaws. Hypoxic altitude environment up to 12,000 feet.
Research suggests that there is between a 3-5% improvement in Vo2-Max by sleeping in this tent. I dropped my Ironman time from 11hrs 15min to 10hrs 33min!
