Bozzone, McGlone Win Kansas 70.3

Bozzone takes his second 70.3 win in 3 consecutive weeks of racing. McGlone runs into the win with a 1:20 half marathon.

Ironman 70.3 Augusta Announced for 2009

June 2, 2008 -- Today, Ironman, in conjunction with Premier Event Management, announces a new Ironman 70.3 Event scheduled for 2009 in the southeastern United States. Ironman 70.3 Augusta will take place in the classic southern city of Augusta, Georgia on Sunday, September 27, 2009 with a field limit of 2,000 athletes.

Just a quick note, looks like the 70.3 championships will air this weekend.
The broadcast will be airing April 12 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM on NBC. In its second year, the Ford Ironman World Championship 70.3 took place on November, 10 in Clearwater, FL.

Half Iron 3 weeks before Full Iron???

I'm doing IM Coeur d' Alene on June 22nd. Would it be wise or foolish to do the Boise 70.3 exactly 3 weeks before? Some say it would be a perfect way to start your taper, others say it would be too taxing. My fitness level: this will be my first IM that I actually trained for and my weekly training volume will max out at 12-15 hours. Penny for your thoughts :-)

Longhorn Ironman 70.3 Austin to be hosted October 5, 2008

January 10, 2008 - Austin, Texas, one of the nation’s triathlon hotbeds, will now host its own Ironman 70.3 event – the Longhorn Ironman 70.3 Austin on Sunday, October 5, 2008. The event, the final addition to the 2008 series, will serve as the first official qualifier for the 2009 Ironman World Championship taking place on November 14 in Clearwater, Florida.
