These are my first venture into Tri specific shoes and i am totally happy with the purchase. I have a little over 100 miles on them so far. The first couple of rides were strange because I am not used to such stiff soles that transmit every bump right to your feet. But every ride the shoes get more and more comfortable. I bought these a bit big because my last shoes were a bit small and I did not want to deal with that again. I wear a size 13 shoe, and ended up getting a 47 (a 14 by specialized standards) because my left foot is slightly larger and was knocking against the front. The velcro strap does a good job of staying tight (not as good as a ratchet device, though). I put these shoes and and instantly i feel faster. I think this is a great shoe for anybody looking to upgrade, especially for a carbon soled shoe (the Sidi is more expensive and you don't get the carbon sole)
