Pros:
Waterproof (wear it all the time in a race), Speed sensor, cadence sensor(optional) and power meter(optional). Altimeter and many other cool features. 5 different exercise sets you can configure at your own needs. And basic use.
Cons:
This is the second one I own. My last s720i had after a while a problem with the altimeter. Warranty covered it and I got this second one. And sad to tell you but I´m having problems again with the altimeter with this one after 2 years of having it. Everything else works great.

Very reliable monitor. One of the things I love is the fact that I can wear it during my swims. (I know many people don´t follow HR in the pool but my training plan requires me too). Looking at what the other guy wrote I can´t finish to understand how someone can say this monitor looks cheap. NOT AT ALL! I love the inox facing and think it´s better than the plastic one in the 625.

If you are planning on buying the 625 for the pedometer I would really give it a second thought. I have learned that you have to be consistent with your strides (length) in order to have the thing work correctly so i would not trust it that much. You are good with a s720i!!!! But if you a are a number freak then maybe you would be better off with a garmin which you could really trust since it is GPS based.
