A two minute ride on a fellow athlete's P3C let me know I needed to try one of the demos available in Kona the week before IM. A P3 aluminum demo a year earlier had left only a fair impression. Ten miles on the P3C was all it took. Stiff, smooth and stable. Smoother than my trusty Zipp 2001. You hear bumps and road irregularities more than you feel them. After measuring the position on my Zipp and replicating it on the P3C the only real modification I made to the stock bike was to use my old seat. This was Thursday before the race. After 112 on Saturday the only ares of discomfort was the inside of my left big toe from my shoes. The descent from Havi had only moderate cross winds or at least it felt that was as the bike simply went straigt with minimal to no swaying. Feels like absolute direct transfer of pedal power to the wheels. Don't ride on unless you are ready to buy.
