Specialized Toupe Saddle
submitted by Noel on June 15, 2006
A very thin, very light and stiff saddle, from Specialized. The Body Geometry thing they've got going is pretty solid. (I also use their Tri Vent shoe) The saddle isn't that soft, it's pretty hard actually and it might take some training rides to get used to. But I rode it for over 5 1/2 H and could still run afterwards :D
It is available in two widths, I own the 130mm saddle and there's a real good range of motion on it for your legs. The slit down the middel of the saddle is there to allow a better circulation to the "nether regions" and compared to my old saddle; it works for me.

Nice All-Around Saddle
I just got the Toupe, and have been pretty happy with it. Around a 5 hr. ride, and no numbness to speak of. I can honestly say that it wasn't cushy for 5 hours, but it was better than other saddles that I have had that are more padded, and/or gel saddles. The fit is really nice, and the 130mm is perfect for my sit bones. It's not great if you really want to get out on the nose, but there are a couple of nice comfy areas. It's good if you like to sit somewhere between the tail and the nose.
