Pros:
Ability to customize screen to show different info-Once it tracks the satellites it holds the signal well-Lightweight and nice size-Easy to use
Cons:
Heartrate monitor sometimes stops working for some reason-Takes up to two minutes to acquire satellite signal after you turn it on-does not have an auto-off feature - if you forget to turn it off you'll be out of batteries for the next workout-Would be nice to be able to see four things on a screen instead of three-software that it comes with is medicore - others are better but cost $$$-the elevation is not really accurate - sometimes the same hill will register a difference of 50 or 75 feet in height.

All in all I really like it. It is useful to see total distance traveled and heartrate and calories burned. I have come to really appreciate it and I feel lost when I run or bike without it. From what I understand the Garmin 305 (new version) has some of the kinks worked out - it picks up the satellites faster and has four readouts on the screen.

Pros:
Records alot of data and can be analyzed after the workout.
Cons:
A bit bulky and not waterproof.

Overall a good item. With nothing to compare it to, as I was using the Timex GPS. I love the fact theres no pod for the GPS. The watch itself is a bit big, but I have gotten used to it. I just wish it could be used for swimming.

Pros:
keeps all the data you could want, easy to use once you are used to it, big display, tons of info during training sessions
Cons:
takes some getting used to, watch is a little big for small arms

This is the best training tool I've ever bought. It tracks all the data I could want and is easy to upload to a computer as a training log. It can be used for biking and running, even back to back with brick training, and you will have all the info from each workout saved.

Since it's GPS, you can even view where you went on a map, making it fun to share with friends where that last long run took you. I haven't used the provided training software, but use the device with www.motionbased.com, which is a great companion to it.
