When 3x Ironman World Champion Peter Reid described his vision of the ultimate tri shoe, we listened, and our collaboration with the planet's fastest triathlete manifested in the Body Geometry Trivent. Its venting system floods the shoe with cooling airflow, keeping your feet dry and cool no matter how hot the course-even the FACT carbon sole is vented and heat reflecting to control temperature.

  • The patented BG outsole and footbed design is scientifically proven to measurably increase performance in elite riders
  • FACT carbon/glass fiber reinforced outsole is directionally rigid for outstanding power transfer - 8.5 stiffness index
  • The chromed fibers of our FACT carbon outsole work as a heat shield, reflecting road heat for cooler feet, even in the hottest racing conditions
  • Ergonomic BG footbed is fully perforated for ventilation
  • Ventilated FACT sole, molded toe and open mesh upper
  • Shoehorn-style heel pull is attached on the inside of the heel
  • Ultra wide opening and wide main strap for fast shoe changes in the transitions
  • Light and durable Micromatrix upper for supple fit
  • 3-Bolt cleat patterns fit Shimano SPD-SL, Look, Time and Speedplay
  • Approximate weight 590g pair (#42)

The new silver one is FUGLY! It looks like a spaceman shoe. You can still order the white ones, though, which are very cool!

Check out the picture of my bike. The silver looks gorgeous on my silver and black Transition along with my silver and white Bell Sweep R. Did I mention I'm also sporting black Vision aero bars with Silver bar tape? It's hard to say Fugly. It reminds me a little bit of the Mclaren factory. Look it up on youtube if you don't know what I'm talking about--you'll see what I mean.

This shoe is great. Wide toe box and lots of ventilation. And sorry UFTriGator, you have bad taste - the silver is much better than white. And crimson is better than orange.

Roll Tide!

Any truth to the rumor that the LG Carbon Air is the same last as the Specialized?

Where do you people find this shoe? Nobody in the Bay Area carries it, and Specialized won't let retailers sell it online :-( which kinda stinks.

I love the way my feet feel in these shoes, but I had to modify them a bit. The top part (think the tongue of the shoe) kept digging into the top part of my foot so I just cut it out a bit.

Love them barefoot. Kinda cold though if you live in Chicago. Makes me bring out the booties earlier than I would like.

They can be kind of hard to find, but worth it. Carried in my local shop, but I figured I'd snoop around online to check out the deals, no such luck, looks like they are mostly in-shop only.

Wore them barefoot in my 70.3 last weekend, pouring rain, stinging rain, 35mph+ winds, threw the gauntlet at them (and gallons of water through them). Happy to report no blistering, and once they tried out they didn't seem (or smell) any worse for the wear.
