Pros:
Silky smooth and stable, absorbs road vibration and bumps, transfers power exceedingly well, climbs like a lightweight road bike, and allows for fast descents with confidence.
Cons:
None.

This is the best frame I've ever ridden -- and that's comparing to recent test rides on a Specialized Transition and Cervelo P2C and P3C, my own old Cervelo Dual, and my Blue NX-7 carbon road bike. The customer service provided directly by Pete Orne, the owner of Aegis, was also exceptional throughout the purchase process. The frame I purchased, as a return on a frame that didn't quite fit another buyer (for whom they did a special mold), was also a great deal. Aegis will also give you great prices on parts to build up the frame. (Price listed below is for frame, seatpost, and cockpit components; other parts purchased before frame or separately.)

Pros:
GREAT aerodynamics, great road buzz dampening, and awesome support behind the sale
Cons:
Not many shops deal Aegis bikes.

I've been testing my new Zaero for about 3 weeks, now, and I can honestly say it's one of the fastest and most comfortable bikes I've tried. I have an AWESOME Stars and Stripes paint job on it, and Aegis worked out a great deal for a full bike. They had it shipped and ready to go for me before I came home from my last Iraq deployment.

It feels like 25-30 MPH efforts are NOTHING on this bike. I just float through the ride, and I feel VERY fresh after each ride without feeling jarred and sore. The components spec'd with the bike are negotiable with Aegis, but they helped me hit our agreed-upon price with high-quality components. This thing, once built, was ready to go right out of the box. The Oval Concepts fork is awesome! It allows for stable handling even when being pelted with gusting winds up to 25 MPH.

This bike is an American-made piece of ass-kicking art. Not only is the paintjob great, their customer service is outstanding. I pelted them with e-mails asking them questions over a 6-month period of time just trying to get more information about their product, and their sales guy was very patient and understanding. Aegis also allows you to send your frame back to them to swap out for another type of frame for a fraction of the cost. It's sort-of like trading in a used car for a new one. They'll appraise the frame you're sending to them, and then apply that amount to the cost of the new frame you want.

Their website is www.aegisbicycles.com. For the record, I'm not a company rep. I'm a returning combat vet who just arrived back home from Iraq at the end of November. Hence, the Stars and Stripes paint job.

I love the positioning, I love the vibration dampening, and I just flat out love this bike.
