Stewarba (Brad) on the Rise!
This pic was taken at the Hickory Knob 2007 Sprint and International Tri in October 2007 from the transition area. This is me about to die coming up the hill from hell to T1. It seemed like forever from the time I got out of the water and onto my bike!

I didn't have the GPS on, so I don't know for sure, but it was at least 300 yards all up hill. You can tell by the other pictures that I posted that we had to climb up a steep hill to get from the peer to actual land and then up to T1. The picture of the first wave (another pic I posted) is slightly below the transition which gives you some idea of the distance and ascent.
For South Carolina, I would say its a tough course, with some pretty good rollers on the bike.
