Jonathan has lost over 155 pounds in 3 ½ years. He started the first year with changing his diet and lost 50 pounds. Jonathan ate 5 small meals during the day consisting of less than 200 calories each. He used nutrition shakes and bars with fresh fruit and yogurt. Starting year 2 he began to mountain bike 3 times a week and lost another 50 pounds, for a total of 100 pounds lost. Then in the beginning of the third year Jonathan broke his collarbone biking and needed to find another form of exercise. Jonathan prefers to exercise outdoors and does not typically use the gym which led him to take up running. Needing to find a way to set a long term goal for his weight loss, Jonathan began to race in Triathlons.
This has allowed him to reach his target weight of 200 pounds. Jonathan now shares his story of a healthy and active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition with others.
