Zero Will Power

If I keep this up I'm going to be racing in the clydesdale devision next spring. Last night about 2AM I was awake watching 24 (season 5) and eating junk. Does anyone else do the midnight binge thing? I know it all could have been averted by going to bed at a reasonable hour (when I wasn't hungry). Serotonin levels drop way down at night and trigger a carb craze feeding frenzy. Anyhow, I don't have a lot of really bad food in the house so the damage was at least a little controlled.

Why even try to diet during the holidays anyhow? There is so much wonderful food around that it is nearly impossible to be good. Trying to actually lose weight between Thanksgiving and New Years is almost insane if you ask me. Damage control is all I should really be worried about. Only eat four cookies instead of the dozen I want to eat.

I hit the trainer for about 45min today and I've eaten pretty healthy too. That will count for nothing because later tonight I plan on having a large portion of my mom's world famous lasagna (she only makes it on Christmas Eve) a time honored tradition since as I was a child.

Hope you are all having a merry Christmas so far, and I hope Santa fills your stockings with lots of carbon fiber and titanium goodies.
