My name is as per my title - Clint Murphy and I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada with my wife Lesley and our amazing little boy!

I have always tried to be fit, but as I've heard them say in "the Unit" - to try is to fail. This year I have made the concious effort to get fit and dedicate myself as much as possible to triathlon, which is something I have always desired to be involved in.

My strengths lie in (1) overall cardio - for some reason I have always been able to go long, (2) heart - I don't like to give uo, regardless of the challenges.

My weaknesses are (1) lack of knowledge - hence the bonking on one of my first long rides with my tri-club when I only had 1 bottle of water for a 60 km ride and no other source of fuel, and (2) consistency - I need to become much more dedicated and consistent.

I will be writing on my journy to be first a 1/2 Ironman (August 2nd, 2009), and then an Ironman (August 30, 2010). This journey will help define me as a person and shape me in my future and I look forward to enjoying that with everyone.
