Originally from a swimming background (age 8 through high school), raced xc '02-'04, raced cycling '03-'05. Completed first sprint tri in 2003 (age 16) followed by 3 sprint tri's in 2004. 4 sprint tri's and 2 olympic distance tri's (2:32, best splits 22(short),1:10,51) in 2005. I didn't train much in preparation for 2006 and ended up with more racing hours than training hours for the summer: 6 sprints, 3 olys (2:40, best splits 27, 1:13, 50). Finally got everything back on track for 2007 and had a breakthrough season. 5 sprints, 4 olys (2:24, best splits 23,1:11,44). These results put me in contention for the overall female placings in small races. I won the Culver Tri (Culver, IN) and was 2nd in the Iron Abe Tri (Springfield, IL) and the Tower Tri (Niles, IL) last year. I also qualified for 2008 Short Course Worlds in Vancouver.
