Help! I live in Somerville and am looking for a pool that will accommodate my 2nd shift schedule and be longer than the 20 yard pool offered at the Somerville Y! I've looked into university pools, but many of those are super-expensive. (I'm a BU alum and they want $60/month for alumni!) Does anyone know of a decent local pool with lap hours in the late morning/early afternoon? I would prefer to stick to the Cambridge, Medford, Somerville area. Thanks!

Try this link:

Oddly enough, MA is not a state - it is lumped into New England with ME. Just go to about the 3rd page and you will find 2 pools in Cambridge that are listed.

Hey Buddy:
I just moved to Malden, and I belong to the Malden YMCA. It is a great facility, with everything a triathlete could ask for. Check it out.

Alowrun-
Now your in my territory. I also live in Malden and I also work out at the YMCA in Malden. It is brand new and it has a track (small) cardio machines, weights and a nice pool for laps.

I live in Saugus and go swimming at Breakheart Reservation. Water is a little cold but once you are numb its ok. Still better than paying to swim.
