Except it is Columbian coffee. From the 'About' page:
The Caicedo brothers are of Columbian heritage and several members of their family are actively involved in the fair-trade coffee industry in Columbia – coffee is in our veins! Our approach to coffee is much like our approach to racing, training and life in general – keep it simple, work harder than the other guy and expect nothing but the best from your self.

Soon, we'll be seeing mocha lattes, skim of course, and scones at the aide stations. I wonder if they'll offer CDs.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
Anything with an M-dot on it disappears at the race expo. I saw it at Canada this year - My guess is they had a coffee company before and thought - hey let's put an m-dot on it and see if we can sell it at the races. Its officially licensed so good for those dudes!

I remember seeing Bud Light logos all over the tv coverage of the Kona race in the 80s. Now that's a strange combo.

Although I heard that one of the inaugural Triahlon race competitors in Hawaii drank a beer and had chili during his 17 hour race - later he admitted that it wasn't very smart! :p
Pain is the sensation of weakness leaving the body!
Now........come on give me a break! Check this out:I guess we could put together a M-Dot shaving kit including razors, whip cream and chocolate GU.
This is just funny, but so real.
We could have the "TGGW" as the spokespeople!!
Nothing to it, but to do it

At mile 139 ish of the ChessieMan there was an aide station and they had beer (unofficially of course) I got a full cup of that Ice Cold Nectar of the gods and it was AMAZING, then I finished soon after.
I think next year I will try and get beer company sponsors rather than Gatorade or Power bar !! :D

Now for the real IM coffee: Coffees of Hawaii!

Yes, a coffee aid station for the morning swims :)

I just learned the coffee is from Guatemala. Apparently there is a huge issue with Kona folks about the m-dot coffee not being from Kona but from Guatemala.
From the "Beans" section of the mdotcoffee site:
Choosing organic, shade-grown coffee is a natural extension of who we are. Ironman Organic Coffee uses only the finest 100% USDA certified organic beans to ensure that the coffee we roast and the product that our customers will enjoy supports our growers and mother earth. We’ve chosen what we believe is the highest quality and most flavorful coffee bean in the world - single origin Guatemalan coffee. Single origin means consistency, which is the first step in producing a superior, “non-blended” coffee - harvested from the same farms in Guatemala each and every time. This attention to detail ensures consistency and quality that only a single origin bean can produce. The high-altitudes and volcanic soil in Guatemala make for some of the best coffee growing conditions in the world.

wow, non-Kona coffee at IM in Kona? That's a huge faux pas! I would imagine it would be like serving an Italian Proseco at the end of the TDF.
Remember only the WC is in kona. IM is a worldwide thing.
(Now that I know the coffee is from Guatemala I have a partialized opinion :D)

No, the MDot coffee appears to be from elsewhere. But the coffee I posted about being on the swim course is from the islands here.

The last time I was in Hawaii (1999), I bought one of those Kona trees at the airport. It now stands over 6 feet tall and has just started to produce beans. I'm so proud!
