For some reason, I'm starting to get numb feet when I ride. I think it might be my shoes, they're a couple years old and starting to get a little flimsy. Do I need new shoes? Most of the numbness starts at about 8 or 9 miles into my ride and it's in the front of my feet and toes. Has anyone else had this problem at all?

You may just be wearing them too tight. Next ride when you're feet start to go try loosening the straps a bit.

If that doesn't work new shoes might be the next step.

You may also want to get the position of your cleats checked. New shoes probably wouldn't hurt.

I had this problem too...

JamieM is right... it might be that you are wearing them too tight, particularly the strap that is closest your toes.

Also, make sure that you are not pointing your toes when you ride. I had this problem, and solved it by lowering the seat a touch. This will put much less pressure on your toes, and allow you to ride more efficiently.
