Help me select a wetsuit......
The place I went to only had Aquaman wetsuits. It has long pants, no sleeves, and it fit, so I forked over the $220 and it works great.
I would check out Desoto if I were you. Their First Wave and Black Pearl suits are a great value in my opinion. They have a 14 day no questions asked return policy for a full refund and they have the best customer service in the industry. Check them out and you will not be disappointed.
Yeah, I second Desoto. Emilio and his crew are awesome! :) It will be the next wetsuit I try. Well... or the BlueSeventy ones. I have heard such good feedback on both of them!

Another vote for Desoto. Very comfortable. Easy to get off. Great suit if you are tough to fit.
I wear a Blue 70 Reaction sleeveless. I also tried a QR and a Rocket Science Sports. The Blue is great for boyancy. I am also a weak swimmer and I like being able to feel my arms. Unless temperature is truly and issue for you, you may want to consider sleeveless. It sounds as if they are more in your price range.
I also had a $200 gift card for my local shop and went with the Blue 70 for $199, I think.
Thanks for the tips.
Regarding sleeveless suits and temperature....is it accepted practice to wear arm warmers if the temp is reall low?
I'm not sure how well arm warmers would stay on in the water. I've never seen that with a sleeveless wetsuit, although I have seen them worn under the wetsuit to save TA time.

OK....obviously I know the part about going to a trusted tri shop and trying on several until I find one that fits best.
But I was hoping to get a heads up on what you guys think are the best brands, features, etc.
I'm 6'3" 185 lb. I am a below average swimmer in comparison to most dedicated triathletes.
I live in a warm climate, but am signed up for Ironman CDA in 2008, so I definitely will be looking for a full suit.
My parents gave me a $200 gift card for my birthday with specific instructions to apply it toward a wetsuit. I'm willing to add a little to it, but because I am an average swimmer, I am skeptical that a $450 top of the line suit would be the right call.
Thoughts?
