Olympic dreams deferred….

Good piece this morning on Canada’s Kirsten Sweetland. She was coming on strong earlier this season and appeared to be a shoo in for one of the Team Canada Olympic slots - then her body gave out. Now she’s regrouping to chase the slot again in the spring. It serves as a reminder to pick your ‘A’ races and structure your training and racing around them… It’s a shame - it’s been a blast watching this 18 year old tear through the women’s ranks. Hope she’s able to recover fully and secure a slot.

Thanks for posting. I was completely unaware of this Canuck phenom until now.
She could be another Lori Bowden, or maybe the first Kirstern Sweetland.

Thanks for the link! I like her and had wondered what happened in those races. I'll be cheering for her :)
