My husband just qualified via Cancun 70.3 last weekend, so I'll be there! I probably won't volunteer since I'll be jumping up and down on the sidelines taking pictures. (We've got tons of photos of me crossing finish lines, etc... since he's always done and waiting for me. But, no photos of him. It'll be a nice change of pace!)

VERY cool! Maybe you two, Noel and his girl, and my husband and I can all hook up. I'm going to volunteer and we have a meeting on Thursday evening, at which time Noel and I are planning on meeting for dinner...maybe then ?

We're not arriving until Thursday night (still short on vacation days after 10 days in Mexico in September!), so unless you're meeting for a late dinner or hanging out late, we probably won't make it. dang.
where are you all staying? maybe we can meet for breakfast Fri or Sun morning after the race?? We're staying at the Gulfview Resort, but will have a rental car so can meet up wherever.

The whole family and I are coming down. The beaches are wonderful down there. My wife is going to race. I am going race too but have a little fun doing it. I'm sure my legs will still feel IMH at that time.

I'll be coming over on Thursday evening for the volunteer meeting from 6-7:00...we can meet up after if that works. On race day I'm going to be a "floater" in the early morning 6-10:00am...so I can be done to cheer you on at the finish line :)
My parents are also coming down on Saturday after the race, and we'll be staying on Treasure Island (just south of Clearwater) for the following week. Maybe we can all meet up for a Sunday morning breakfast...?

Star and Noel ~ Any further thoughts on plans for dinner on Thursday? I arrive in Tampa at 4:15 on Thurs, but I don't have to be back there to pick Stuart up until 8:30pm. So, depending on where/when you all are hooking up, maybe I can join you for dinner.

Hey all...we're meeting on Thursday evening after 7:00pm, but Noel didn't tell me yet which restaurant he wants to go to...its somewhere on Clearwater Beach. Please join us :) Otherwise, let's plan to meet up on race day...my shift will be over by 10:00am....I want to cheer Noel and Stuart and Sandman's wife through the finish line!!! If you have your race numbers...let's have 'em so we can make signs! And if the weather stays like it is today...you're in luck...its fabulous!

OK, I talked with Noel yesterday, and we're going to the Outback Steakhouse on Clearwater Beach on Thursday at 7:30pm for those of you who'd like to join us. Its on Mandalay, on North Clearwater Beach. I hope you're all getting excited...I'm soooo jealous! At least I can be there to cheer you through the finish line ;) I hope we can meet up on Thursday, but if not...hopefully we can meet up on race day....
