As a 6'-5" guy, this caught my eye...
(but, then again, I'm always bumping into low-hanging things...)

cycling and running seem to be not my suit per the article, but hey that swimming seems to fit the bill...

Nice article...thanks.
The guy on the left in the pic looks like me (minus the hair.)
I'm 5'7" and right now 165 to 170. I'm big boned and muscular and not much fat...I am Mr. Mid-pack. I can run all day (literally)and bike tons and swim ok...but despite years of speed work I realize I have a limit to how fast I'll ever be able to go. I'll never go to Kona and I'll never qualify for Boston...I tried.
Your not in the wrong sport tri-ac...ya just have to be happy to go with what ya got!

Like the article points out, the tall folks who are winning...are quite thin and light.

well my license says I'm 6 foot 5 (taken last year) and I'm not too shabby at cycling (cat 3, won a couple races). I wouldn't say you're in the wrong sport because a) you can make up time in the swim and B) look at track cyclists? they're bigger then I am! not much can beat some old fashion bulging quads also momentum plays a big part. Running however is not my strong suit, I can average about an 8 minute mile for 15 miles during a brick workout. To me thats really the biggest thing for triathlons unless you're looking to win or place in the top 10. Do work on the swim, get out, drop the hammer on the bike, then go for a nice steady run! (thats my unofficial big guy guide to triathlons)

unless its Red5, then hes a) so far ahead on the bike we'd have to run like 4 min miles and b) he is already running 5 min miles so we're screwed anyways!:D

If you and your boyfriend feel like making the drive out to Wildflower this year, you're more than welcome to take some pictures of MY ass!

Oooh are you going to make it? I've always wanted to stare at your ass! Uh... I mean... We have played with the idea of it... I have no idea if it is currently in the list. It's a tough life when there are too many tri options for the season :)

I have a couple girls ones (Joanna Lawn and Michellie) but none of her, sorry. I have a fun one of Macca (from a couple days after the race) and Crowie and some un-id'ed ones.

And of course a couple of my boy while he raced :D And he got some of me at the beach on a later day ;)
