Yesterday in my race (Escape to Miami) I saw a guy on the run with road rash all over one side of his body, AND ON HIS FACE! Yet he was still in the fight. Brother, if you lurk on this forum, I gotta tell you, you are an inspiration. In a world of increasingly soft couch potatoes, we've all come to accept, welcome and even enjoy pain and in doing so we become heroes to ourselves. We should all give ourselves a big collective pat on the back.

Later on he was laying in the emergency room while they de-brided the wounds, saying to himself.."WHAT was I thinking!"

Such a coincidence. Today, I was talking to an acquaintance about running marathons, and how I was a triathlon newbie. He said, "oh... you must like pain, HUH?"

I just smiled and said, "If you only knew."

What a great thread.

Every one of us has the tenacity and will to conquer amazing things, despite formidable impediments.

Rock on TriFuel'ers!

yep! the fear of a DNF besides ones name is something that I don´t like.

But I would never do anything that would threaten my overall health, the hard thing is knowing when that happens.

Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
