Which Crankset is worth the money

I'm know opinions vary on which one is the best but I'm in the market for a new crankset; have no need for one just want one. I currently have the FSA that came on by Tequilo QR, and was wondering if some of the more expensive Cranksets are actually worth the money. The Rotor looks pretty cool but there are so many options on the market I just can't make up my mind as to which one is best. I've only been in the Tri world for a couple of years and I'm sure many of you have more experience on bicycles than I do. Opinions?????????

Functionally, you wont beat the FSA crank. You can get better looking and lighter cranks, but nothing thats really going to out perform your current one.

If I was to replace that crankset, I would likely go with a Dura Ace crank on a shimano equiped bike. Then cranks are the only area I actually like Shimano. Personally, I prefer SRAM components, and would get a Noir or Rouleur Carbon.

But I think that's just a waste of money ;)

I would also stick with the FSA cranks and spend your money on another part of the bike or on race entry fees, etc.

For what it is worth here is a picture of my FSA crankset:

You could invest in the TT chainrings that give the crank a different look much like mdd's crank.

Yes be sure to understand that my chain rings are purely for show. I am a very good rider but it has nothing to do with having "aero" chain rings. So if you spend the money it is all for show but sometimes you just have to do things because it is fun! :)

Isnt that the point of buying a new crankset anyway? ;)

I was really wondering if one was much better than the other. You don't always get more if you pay more from what I've found through the years. I'm not unhappy about my current Crank----looks good enough for me. Buying something fancy looking isn't going to make me any better, being faster just requires more effort and training in my opinion. Does anyone think the odd shaped Rotor chainrings actually make much difference. I'd love to have a Carbon wheel set but there is no way I'm going to pay thousands of dollars for bicycle wheels no matter how much I like the sport.

I got about 10W out of them. He's an old thread:

I just like to crank it up!. I would get the coolest crank set out there and I think the FSA works.
