Imwi 2008
Hey Kevin, sorry I didn't get a chance to see you out there. All of you did an awesome job throughout the day, you kept us moving and brightened our spirits when they were draggin. Many thanks to you and all the volunteers. You guys rocked!
Best of luck with your 2 IMs, you're going to have a blast.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
Thanks for volunteering.
I didn't see you either... had my Trifuel hat on for the run.
Pretty hardcore doing 2 IM in 3 weeks!
This year was a pleasure compared to last year...just bring all your weather gear for next year cuz it could be anything!
Hope to catch up to you then!

Kevinb421, won't that be only 2 weeks separating the 2 races? Way to go! Very gutsy! I'll be racing in Madison in 2008 as well.
IMC: August 24, 2008
IMWI: September 7, 2008
2 weeks.... 3 weeks. It's all the same as long as its not one week after the other lol

I was the very first person in line to sign up for 2008. So in 2008 it will be IMC followed by IMWI 3 weeks later. Won't that be just interesting?
I just wish I could have had the Weather next year that we had this year. I volunteered throughout the whole day. Started at 4:30 in the morning on the swim which was pretty awesome to work with. It was my first time at a tri and not participating. Moved onto the Bike and was a runner. I had the wonderful job of running bikes up to the transition area. The racers were awesome to the volunteers especially considering they just did 112 miles. (must have been the perfect conditions) Then I finished the day as a finish line catcher. People were in much better shape than previous years. I guess after 2 years of horrible heat and then terrible cold and rain they were ready for anything.
On the bike I took a bike from a guy who had a black tri fuel shirt on. I didn’t get a chance to say anything and they were off. I was wearing my tri fuel visor so did that person or anyone else see me? I tried to keep an eye out but people come in waves at that race almost nonstop.
