I hate HIMs (based on my vast experience of doing it once last year in Clermont). I don't know why, but I did sign up for Miami Man a few months back. Guess I'll see you there! I'll be the guy in the Gator stuff who looks like he's hating life. :D
Oh, and I know I should be BBQing right now, but I promise I'll start as soon as I get out of my ice bath (I'm kinda cold right now ;)). Woooo! College Fooooootball!

I think you're confusing Miami Man with Escape to Miami, which is an olympic. They ferry the athletes out to an island in Biscayne Bay and you swim the .9 back to shore.

Oh, yeah....you're right. I'm doing both, though. Escape on Sep 23rd and Miami Man on Nov. 11. I'm actually excited about Escape (just not so much for Miami Man...lol)

Allright, I'll see you there. I just did the Tropical Tri in Lake Worth this morning. Great race, well organized, long sleeve tee, tons of water stations, got stung by a few jellyfish though, but I'm still pumped up! Would rather swim in the ocean than a murky lake any day.
I've driven the course and eyeballed the swim from the island back to the mainland. Looks like it will be a fun but challenging race. This is my first time doing this race. Anybody that's done it have any last minute advice or suggestions not mentioned on the website?
