That questionnaire is nothing but a gimmick to get your e-mail address and your permission to send you advertising tailored to the very responses you put on the qualifier, including your education, health status, socio-economic status. I stopped before I got halfway through the questionnaire. I suggest everyone do likewise.

Unfortunately, PoC is right. It won't come right away, what they tend to do is sell your email address as valid to someone else (interested parties based on your responses) who will then start sending you spam. Once you try to opt out by selecting a hyperlink at the bottom of the spam message indicating you no longer want to receive further correspondence, you have actually successfully verified that the email address that was receiving the spam is a valid and active address. Guess what, they sell that information to someone else and they tell two friends and so on.

As a computer professional, my advise is to never give out your personal email address in something like this. If you can't keep away from things like this, then setup a bogus email account with hotmail or gmail that you check periodically and keep cleaned out. Gmail has a pretty good spam filter for a browser based email service.

This very morning I have received my first junkmail from RealAge.com.
