I would check with the Columbia Tri Club. Columbia is just outside the Baltimore beltway and I know they host some big races (Eagleman 70.3, Columbia Tri (big womens only race)). I would steer clear of the Inner Harbor unless you want to grow a third arm.

I've heard some folks have gone to Sandy Point State Park for OW swims - which is just at the edge of the Cheasapeake bridge. I'd guess it's about 30 minutes from Baltimore.

I just moved to Baltimore, MD from Michigan.
Baltimore is great and all but I miss my big fresh lake!!!!
I want to swim in open water!!
No one I talk to seems to have any ideas on safe/non toxic water around here. I was hoping some of you might be able to help me out. An inland lake would be great or even pools I suppose.
