I have the Xlab and love it. I am a normal size guy (6' 1") and do not have any problem at all reaching the bottles.

I also use the Saddlewing, and don't have any problems, beyond the lefthandedness that comes from being almost exclusively left handed...;)

i have the xlab alum, and carbon on order (dont think its quite out yet). the xlab is great. it only takes 1 or 2 rides to get used to the bottle height. i find it easy to use and can easily grab a drink from even the aero position. if you are debating between the carbon xlab and the carbon hydrotail, as i did, i would say its a matter of personal pref. however, i went with the xlab because of the amount of storage options it offers.

On a related note, if you use a "Cyclo-Cross" Dismount, (swinging leg over seat while still moving), the Saddlewing could interfere with you leg making it over the seat.

I'd suggest practicing a couple of times before trying it in a race. Otherwise, you could be the talk of the Transition Area and the Medical Tent...
