quad injury

Hmm, be careful on this one. My senior year undergrad, DII XC I tore my vastus lateralis because of a continued cramping near my knee. (VL is the outermost muscle of the four muscles that compose a quardicep)
I would advise massage, use one of those "STICKS", and also lots of static stretching, 3 x per day.
Keep us posted!

thanks! He got one of those sticks today! He did an olympic distance today and didn't have any problems-so hopefully it's ok-but we'll see how he is tomorrow!

I have a friend who has been experiencing cramping in his lower quad when running-it happens after about 2 miles into his run and after riding (brick), I thought maybe it is a build up of lactic acid and also told him to stretch it before running after his ride, are there any other suggestions?!
